Learn If Your Dog Is At Risk

  • What breeds are most at risk?

While all dogs are at risk to develop cancer, these breeds have a higher probability: Golden Retrievers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Labrador Retrievers, German Shepards, Boxers, and Portuguese Water Dogs.

  • How often should you test your dog?

We recommend owners of at-risk breeds begin annual  testing when their pet is 2 years old, bi-annual testing for dogs between 5 and 7, and quarterly for senior dogs (8 and older).

  • What cancers do we screen for?

Cancer is the #1 cause of death for dogs. Our current test screens for hemangiosarcoma (HSA) cancers. This cancer is the cause of death for roughly 25% of high-risk dogs.

“The Silent Killer” tends to grow and spread rapidly, rarely giving the owner any clue their dog is harboring a fatal disease.
